PURPOSE:To provide favorable magnetic characteristics to the resulting titled sheet by short-time consumer annealing by regulating the grain size of a hot rolled plate contg. Si and a very small amount of C after hot rolling and annealing to a specified value or above and by subjecting the plate to cold rolling or temper rolling including process annealing. CONSTITUTION:The grain size of a hot rolled plate contg. <=0.005% C and <=2% Si obtd. by heating, hot rolling and annealing a slab as usual is regulated to >=0.05mm. by annealing the hot rolled plate at >= about 800 deg.C or by increasing the coiling temp. after the hot rolling to about 750-1,000 deg.C so as to apply a self- annealing method. The hot rolled plate after the annealing is cold rolled to the prescribed thickness of a product sheet and finally annealed, or it is rolled to the prescribed thickness by skin pass rolling including intermediate cold rolling and process annealing. Even if the time of consumer annealing of the resulting product sheet or the time of soaking included in the annealing is reduced, the magnetic characteristics can be improved sufficiently. |
