PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition composed of a vinyl ester resin and aluminum hydroxide subjected to surface treatment with an acryl silane coupling agent, etc., and capable of providing a synthetic marble excellent in feeling of transparency and boiling resistance and suitable for a bathtub, washstand, counter top, etc. CONSTITUTION:An objective composition composed of (A) preferably 80-20 pts.wt. vinyl ester resin [preferably resin solution composed of 90-10wt.% reaction product obtained by reaction between polyepoxy compound and (meth) acrylic acid, etc., and 10-90wt.% vinyl monomer] and (B) preferably 20-80 pts.wt. aluminum hydroxide subjected to surface treatment with an acryl silane coupling agent or acylate-based titanium coupling agent, preferably in an amount of 0.1-8.0wt.%. |
