PURPOSE:To obtain the optical memory body which is enhanced in the weatherability by forming an adhesive layer of titanium as one constituting component and successively forming at least the adhesive layer and a reflecting layer consisting of gold on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the substrate 1 is coated with the material contg. at least the titanium as the adhesive layer 2 by a high-frequency magnetron sputtering method, ion plating method, CVD method, etc. The surface of the adhesive layer 2 is then coated with the gold as the reflecting film 3 by a high- frequency magnetron sputtering method, ion plating method, CVD method, etc., and further, a protective film 4 consisting of various resins, etc., are formed thereon at need. The titanium to be incorporated into the adhesive layer 2 has the high adhesive property to both of the gold and the substrate 1 and has excellent corrosion resistance as well. The peeling of the gold reflecting film from the substrate is obviated in this way and the optical memory medium having the high reliability is obtd. |
