However, difficulties result if the temperatures are below the dew point of sulphuric acid, so that special measures have been found. <??>The invention now provides staggered heat displacement systems 13, 14, in which, initially, in a relatively high temperature range, heat exchangers 3, 7 made of steel are connected together via a heat transport medium and, in a downstream second heat displacement system 14, heat exchangers 4, 6 made of corrosion-resistant and antiadhesive plastics are used. <IMAGE>
