PURPOSE: To launch a projectile from a trench mortar, a howitzer or a launcher by providing a projectile locatable in a launcher with the trailing end being set closely to the base end of a tubular launcher, a long optical fiber streaming continuously from the trailing end during flight, and means for communication data through the fiber. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber 40 in the casing 22 of an optical fiber guided projectile 20 is wound around a bobbin 42 encased in the casing 22 closely to the trailing end 26 and a groove 52 in the outer surface of the casing 22 receives the fiber part so that it does not interfere normal annular relationship between a bullet 20 and a launcher. A part of the fiber 40 thereby flows out without causing any damage or shift at the time of launching. A part of the fiber 40 is connected with a controller 50 and the bullet 20 has means for controlling the flying path by communicating a data through the fiber 40 in the casing 22. The bullet 20 can transmits a large volume of data and it can be launched from a launcher, a trench mortar or a howitzer while dealing with a bilateral transmission data. |
