PURPOSE:To obtain easily hydroxyapatite without using an enzyme by allowing a fish bone to react with hydrazine. CONSTITUTION:For example, pulverized fish bone of walleye pollack, etc., is added slowly as a raw material to a fixed amt. of ion-exchanged water contained in a beaker and heated in a water bath at about 90 deg.C while adding a 60% soln. of hydrazine thereto and stirring. After a reaction for about 2-4hr, the stirring is stopped, then a precipitate is collected by suction filtration immediately. Water and hydrazine are removed from the precipitate by drying in a dryer at about 120-130 deg.C for about 2-3hr. Then, the precipitate is calcined in an electric furnace at about 550 deg.C, then for about 1.5-3hr after elevating the temp. to about 700 deg.C and about 850 deg.C. By this method, hydroxyapatite is obtd. without using expensive enzyme nor enormous amt. of fuel, nor causing contamination of atmospheric air due to malodor generated by the decomposition products during the prepn. |
