PURPOSE:To provide a printer with a magnetic input/output mechanism capable of writing of reading information with a simple construction, by operating a printing means and a magnetic input/output means by the same driving means. CONSTITUTION:The printing means and the magnetic input/output means are provided, while the driving means for moving the printing means and the input/ output means in a direction relatively to a paper is provided, and the input/ output means is moved by the driving means at a relative velocity with respect to magnetic recording belts provided on te paper, whereby information is written or read. The magnetic recording belts 19 are provided on the back side of the paper 18, and information having the same contents as those printed on the paper 18 is magnetically recorded in the belts 19. Accordingly, the information prepared by manually inputting through keyboards 5, 7 or a light pen 8 is preserved. When the information stored in the recording belts 19 is regenerated, figures or documents printed on the paper 18 are displayed on a cathode ray tube 3 and are printed on an ordinary paper by a printing part 2. |
