摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the finish work efficiency of a first block by arranging the joint face of the first block between one ends at the same side of both fixing flanges in off-set direction. CONSTITUTION:Intake manifold is splitted into first block B1, second block B2, and an intermediate board P placed between said blocks B1, B2. First block B1 is integrally formed with horizontal fixing flanges 19, 19' with correspondence to the right and left cylinder rows C', C, while being set off by constant distance (e) in the direction of crankshaft. The joint face F1 of first block B1 is arranged between one ends at same side of both fixing flanges 19, 19' in offset direction. When performing finish work of the joint face F1, only one fixing flange 19 having the end section projecting forward from the joint face F1 is placed at the outside of locus of tool thus to eliminate interference of the other fixing flange 19' completely.</p>
