摘要 PURPOSE:To contrive the lightness of weight and the shortness of length by forming a crankshaft only in its specific crank web thicker than in the other crank webs while providing a counter weight and specifying thickness and a position of the center of gravity in each counter weight. CONSTITUTION:In a crankshaft for a 6-cylinder in-line engine or a 12-cylinder V-engine, counter weights 30, 31, 40, 41 are provided in crank webs 23a, 23b, 24a, 24b in the central side and crank webs 21a, 26b in both the end sides, and only the crank webs 21a, 26b and the counter weights 40, 41, provided therein, are formed in larger thickness. While the crankshaft arranges the counter weights 30, 31 so as to provide the center of gravity in an opposite direction to a crankpin position while the counter weights 40, 41 so as to provide the center of gravity in an opposite direction to the counter weights 30, 31. No counter weight is provided except in the above. Thus decreasing a burden in a central bearing and providing strength and rigidity in both end sides of the crankshaft, the lightness of its weight and the shortness of its length can be attained.
