PURPOSE:To compensate a light branch coupling loss and, simultaneously, to bidirectionally execute the coupling of a transmitter-receiver and a bus line by providing a laser amplifying area for a light amplification and a light branching part in a channel waveguide. CONSTITUTION:An integrated optical node 3 inserted into optical fibers 1 and 2 to compose an optical bus line is composed of a substrate 14 and the channel waveguide. To the channel, waveguide, laser light amplifying parts 10a and 10b and a branching coupler 8 are provided, and the receiver and transmitter are coupled through optical fibers 4 and 5. In such a constitution, a light signal from the transmitter is coupled from the optical fiber 5 to the branched waveguide of the node 3, light-amjplified, and sent to the optical fibers 1 and 2. Optical fiber and optical node insertion losses at such a time are compensated by the light amplifying part. On the other hand, at the time of receiving, the light signals of the optical fibers 1 and 2 are amplified and received through the optical fiber 4. |
