PURPOSE:To ensure that a spring load on a shape memory alloy is allowed to change in response to varying environmental temperatures and data is always printed with high printing quality under various use conditions by providing the shape memory alloy at a platen section and allowing it to have a spring function. CONSTITUTION:A shape memory alloy is provided at a platen section 6. The platen section has the function to receive a platen pressure which presses a thermosensitive recording medium and a medium to which data is transferred. The platen section 6 has the shape memory alloy spring 1 between a platen supporting member 7 and an elastic member 8 of platen, and this alloy spring 1 makes the platen pressure variable with the joint use of an ordinary spring 3. This thermosensitive transfer recording device is characteristic of a platen pressure change; for instance, an increased platen pressure, if environmental temperature reaches lower than a certain constant level, and a decreased platen pressure, if the environmental temperature rises above a certain constant level. Thus it is possible to print data with high printing quality constantly under various use conditions such as environmental temperature and with a simple control. |
