PURPOSE:To improve heat exchanging performance and obtain mechanical stability with respect to a thermal stress and the repeating stress thereof by employing a porous ceramics formed body as a heat accumulating body. CONSTITUTION:The capsule type heat accumulating body 3 of a porous ceramics formed body for retaining heat accumulating material is employed in a heat accumulator 1. The capsule type heat accumulating body 3 is a cylindrical hollow body, for example, and the porous circular tube 3a is filled with heat accumulating material 4, then, sealing members 3b are secured to both ends thereof. The formed body is preferably a sintered body, whose material is selected from aluminum nitride, silicon carbide, silicon, titanium carbide, boron zirconium, boron titanium, boron carbide, boron nitride and carbon. The heat accumulating material 4 is selected from LiF, NaF, KF, MgF2, CaF2, LiH and the mixtures thereof. |
