<p>PURPOSE:To provide a general use cable joint closure which can be used for cables having different diameters by constructing a grip metal with pressure screw members and arranging a seal member composed of elastic material such as rubber between a cable through-hole and a cable. CONSTITUTION:At first, a grip metal 31 is split into two grip metal chips 31a, 31a which are applied onto cables 10, 11, then the grip metal chips 31a, 31a are jointed through bolts 33 and integrated. Thereafter, each pressure screw member 32 is fastened uniformly by means of a screw driver being set to a predetermined fastening torque so that a stopper board 34 contacts against the outer circumferential faces of the cables 10, 11. An end face board 40 is split into two board chips 44, 44 and fitted to the cables 10, 11, then they are jointed through a fastening bolt 45. A cable seal member 47 previously wound around the outer circumferential faces of the cables 10, 11 seals the gap formed between a cable through-hole and the cables 10, 11.</p> |
