PURPOSE:To improve the focal accuracy of a video camera and to reduce its size by providing a driving control signal converter, which converts a reference speed control signal transmitted from the video camera into the control signal for actual driving based on the driving system inherent in the focusing device of an image pickup lens and the driving speed characteristic, on the image pickup lens side. CONSTITUTION:The photographing lens is attached on a video camera main body so as to be replaceable, a high frequency component obtained from an image pickup element 7 of the camera main body is extracted by a high frequency detecting circuit 13, and processed by a reference frequency generating circuit 14, a synchronization detecting circuit 15, etc. By the signal outputted from the circuit 15 by a reference speed control signal arithmetic circuit 21 and the respective output signals from a focal distance detector 5, a diaphragm value detector 6 and an inherent information memory 20 on the image pickup lens side, the optimum driving speed of a focusing connector 23 is operated. Further, by communication circuits 22 and 24 arranged on the respective camera main body side and the photographing lens side, the binarized signals are mutually exchanged. |
