PURPOSE:To allow the performance of a high degree of ad-lib -like freedom in accordance with basic rhythm patterns by comparing the probability values determined by a probability value determining means and the random numbers generated from a random number generating means in respective meter positions and determining whether the corresponding musical instrument is played in the meter positions or not in accordance with the results of the comparison. CONSTITUTION:This machine is provided with a means 1 which sets one state in at least two states including the performance assignment state and rest assignment state for the respective meter positions of the basic rhythm patterns, a means 8 of determining the probability values at which the respective musical instruments are played in the respective meter positions in accordance with the basic rhythm patterns, the random number generating means 3, a comparison means 4 which compares the probability values determined by the probability determining means 8 and the random numbers generated from the random number generating means 3 in the respective meter positions and determines whether the corresponding musical instrument is played in the meter positions or not in accordance with the results of the comparison, and a rhythm performance means 5 which plays the musical instruments in accordance with the determination of the comparison means 4. The easier inputting of the rhythm patterns is enabled in this way and the performance of the high degrees of ad-lib -like freedom is executed. |
