PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a bumper side fitting portion toward a fender caused by a car front collision or thermal expansion by forming a long hole on a car bumper side portion in the longitudinal direction of the car and by engaging the clip of a fitting member coupled with this long hole into the fitting hole of a fender. CONSTITUTION:When a shock is applied to a bumper 1 from a car front caused by a car front collision or the like and the bumper 1 is moved backward as shown by an imaginary line A, lugs 5b, 5b of a fitting member 5 are relatively moved forward beyond a stopper 4 along the long hole 3 formed on the side portion 1a of the bumper 1, because the fitting member 5 is fixed to the fender (car panel) 6 with a clip 5c. Then, the side portion 1a is expanded toward the ouside of a car body while being moved backward by means of the slope of the long hole 3 so as to be separated from a fender 6. At this time, even if the bumper 1 undergoes a thermal expansion, the lugs 5b are moved along the long hole 3, thereby the bumper end portion 1b is moved toward an arrow direction C and is prevented from contacting with the fender 6. |
