METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PASTEURIZING MINERAL WATER AND REMOVING BACTERIA

PURPOSE:To obtain safe mineral water by successively subjecting mineral water to treatment with a primary precision filter having >=1.0mum pore diameter, irradiation with UV and treatment with a secondary precision filter having <=0.45mum pore diameter. CONSTITUTION:A primary precision filter 2 is installed before a UV pasteurizer 1 and a secondary precision filter 3 behind the pasteurizer 1. A precision filter having >=1.0mum pore diameter is used as the filter 2 and a precision filter or an ultrafiltration filter having <=0.45mum pore diameter as the filter 3. Fine particles in mineral water are removed with the filter 2, the water is irradiated with UV in the pasteurizer 1 and the killed bacteria in the water are removed with the filter 3.
