PURPOSE: To improve safety by operating a vehicle to a preliminarily selected stop zone by motion quantity of the vehicle when an emergency condition or a disconnection condition is generated, or when driving force is eliminated. CONSTITUTION: When a vehicle driving system is broken, it can reach the next stop zone 11, 12, 13 by motion energy of a vehicle 2 itself, and the lowest speed at which the whole length of the vehicle 2 can move to the stop zone 11, 12, 13 is indicated by a lowest line 14, 15, 16. By setting an actuation speed (a line 7) of the vehicle 2 to be larger than the lowest speed (lowest line 14, 15, 16) at the same position, the vehicle 2 can be continuously operated to the next stop zone 12 or 13 at the time of emergency. A braking curve 17, 18, 19 indicates a place for starting automatic train stop for stopping the vehicle 2 at an end part of the stop zone 11, 12, 13 from a desired speed, and when the vehicle 2 exceeds a position C at the actuation speed (line 7), it cannot be stopped within the stop zone 11, so a target automatic train stop is executed to the next stop zone 12. |
