PURPOSE:To widen the view scopes sideways and backward at the time of low speed running and lessen the view point moving amount of a driver at the time of high speed running by constituting a fender mirror slidably in the fore-and-aft direction of a car in accordance with the car speed. CONSTITUTION:When a car started from standstill state has come into a high speed operation in which the car speed sensing value VD given by a car speed sensor 7 exceeds the preset car speed value, a mirror position control circuit 10 emits an ahead position command value to shift the fender mirror ahead, and a drive pulse in accordance with its deviation from the position sensing value of a position sensor 8 is emitted to a linear pulse motor 3e. This motor 3e is therefore rotated reversely to cause the fender mirror to slide ahead, and at the same time, the mirror part angle of this fender mirror is adjusted by a mirror angle control circuit 12 into optimum perception angle. This allows the driver to view left and right of the car with lesser amount of view point movement. |
