The invention relates to a package formed by an alignment of surrounding panels 16A, 16B and having, laterally bordering a surrounding panel 16B forming a bottom panel, side panels 21 which are connected, by corner panels 22, to support panels 25 capable of being applied against the surrounding panels 16A adjacent to the preceding ones. According to the invention, in its median section, at least, the free edge of a side panel 21 is recessed, which allows this side panel 21 to frame locally the corresponding end of the tray 10 to be packaged.
