<p>PURPOSE: To manufacture a composite material having a defect occurrence rate substantially reduced after molding by providing a layer of a steel having a specific component and a size between layers of a plain carbon steel and a stainless steel, and giving specific physical properties by a specific heat treatment. CONSTITUTION: The composite material contains a normal carbon steel central layer 2 and cladded from an outside at stainless steel layers 4, 6 and cladded with an additional thin intermediate layer of a silicon steel disposed between the layers 4, 6 and the layer 2. A thickness of the layer of the silicon steel is 25% or less of the thickness of a blank material. The steel containing silicon contains 0.5% or more of the silicon. A composite material having a yield strength of 50000 lb/in<2> or less at offset of 0.2% by including annealing of the cold rolled composite material at 1800 deg.F or higher and hot or cold rolling at 1600 deg.F for forming a junction. Then, a defect or difficulty in a throttling or other molding method generated by carbon migration is prevented.</p> |
