PURPOSE:To cause the absorptivity of bio-organization components to water to be satisfactory and to efficiently generate an intermediate infrared ray by providing a light transmitting body for a resonance having a laser activating material, an incident side resonance mirror to transmit a light for exciting the activating material and an emitting side resonance mirror. CONSTITUTION:Inside an endoscope 1, the long-scale light transmitting body to contain the laser activating material from an operating part 2 up to an inserting part 3, for example, a single fiber 10, is interpolated, and as the laser activating material, an erbium is used. On an incident edge surface 10a of the fiber 10, a first coating for the incident side resonance mirror to totally reflect the laser light excited inside the fiber 10 and to transmit the incident light for exciting the activating material is formed. On an emitting edge surface 10b, a second coating for the emitting side resonance mirror to almost reflect and partially transmit the laser light excited inside the fiber 10 is formed. Consequently, the fiber 10 composes a laser resonator, and the intermediate infrared ray in the vicinity of 3mu with a good absorptivity to the water is generated. |
