PURPOSE:To secure the safety operation of an elevator by monitoring the quantity of oil at all times, notifying the lack of the quantity of oil when the quantity of oil is less than a specified one, and thereby prohibiting to register a cage and a hall call newly. CONSTITUTION:An oil tank 1 is provided with an oil meter 12 so that the quantity of oil is detected at all times. An oil quantity lack detecting device compares the detected quantity of oil with a reference one. When the quantity of oil is less than the reference one, the lack of the quantity of oil is notified to an oil quantity annunciator 13, and an oil lack signal is concurrently outputted to an elevator control device 15. The elevator control device which has received the oil quantity lack signal, prohibits to register a cage and a hall call newly while responding only to the cage and hall calls which have been already registered. This constitution can secure the safety operation of an elevator. In addition, the lack of the quantity of oil can be detected by maintenance personnel in an early stage so as to have it dealt with, the operation of the elevator can thereby be controlled under a preferable condition at all times. |
