<p>PURPOSE:To perform writing of data into the erasure of data in a commutation ticket in a non-contact manner by utilizing a floating electrostatic capacity possessed, relative to the ground, by an auxiliary electrode provided for applying a voltage to a liquid- crystal cell in parallel to the cell. CONSTITUTION:A commutation ticket 2 comprises a liquid-crystal display screen 3 and a character indication part 4. The liquid-crystal display screen 3 has a construction wherein a transparent conductor film is provided on the inside of a transparent substrates 5 and 6, SiO2 is provided thereon as an oriented film, then a liquid crystal 7 is sealed in, a copper foil is adhered as an auxiliary electrode 8, and is electrically connected to the transparent conductor film of a liquid-crystal cell. When the commutation ticket is brought into contact with a thermal converter and is then passed through the vicinity of an insulated electric path supplied with 500V, forced orientation occurs upon cooling of the card, resulting in a no-display condition. When the liquid-crystal display screen 3 is partially heated by an argon laser, the scanned part is brought into a milky turbid state, whereby a pattern is written in. At the time of going out through a wicket, heat and an electric field are applied to the card, whereby the screen 3 is returned to the no-display state through forced orientation. Therefore, a commutation ticket of which the liquid-crystal display screen is changeable in a non-contact manner can be obtained.</p> |
