PURPOSE:The titled composition that is made by adding a nonionic surface active agnet to a macrotetrolide antibiotic to increase the effect of the antibiotic, thus being used in growth promotion, increase in feed efficiency, prevention and remedy for diseases. CONSTITUTION:A macrotetrolide antibiotic (1pt.wt.) is mixed with more than 1pt., preferably 1-100pts. of a nonionic surface active agent. The objective composition is composed of only the above mixture or of a combination of the same with a diluent and made into a preparation such as dust, tablets, or granules. Or the above mixture may be added to feeds. The dose is more than 0.025mg/ kg/day as the macrotetrolide antibiotic. When the composition is orally given to domestic animals or poultry continuously, the antibiotic acts more effectively than when it is given alone to develop sufficient effect of growth promotion. |
