A photometer has a sensor holder in which a sensor is mounted so as to be removable and which can be pivoted, with respect to a supporting plate to be laid on an original to be measured, from an adjusting position into a measuring position. The supporting plate has an adjusting opening which, in the measuring position, aligns with a measuring opening, provided on the sensor holder, through which the measuring spot is illuminated via light guiding channels running obliquely by lamps arranged concentrically with respect to the measuring opening. The reflected light passes through a central measuring channel in a central opening of the sensor which is in the holder and is split by a light-splitter into three measuring beams and guided away from the central axis to photodiodes arranged further outside and having colour filters upstream. For measuring light, the sensor can be removed from the holder and, by means of a spherical cup bearing, can be pivoted in an insert or a foot part, so that it can be adjusted for cosine correction to the incident light (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
