In the case of a known device of this type, one of the flanges bearing on the tool is relieved of the clamping pressure for the tool by releasing rolling bodies which secure the flange against axial displacement on the working shaft and can move into an alternative space. The loosening torque for the clamping nut is in this case relatively large, as is the overall volume of the device. The new quick-clamping device is to enable a reduction of the loosening torque for the clamping nut and of the overall volume. Connected non-positively to the clamping nut (12) by means of interacting oblique faces are flanges (11, 26) which assume clamping and relieving functions, and the clamping nut (12) can be coupled to at least one of the flanges (11, 26) by means of a wrap spring (18). The latter prevents relative rotational movements, caused by axial forces, of the oblique faces corresponding to one another and held in a defined position relative to one another by means of spring force and can be loaded and unloaded with the aid of an adjusting member (20). <IMAGE>
