Grooved bush for single-screw extruders

For single-screw extruders, a grooved bush 10 is proposed, which is fixed in place in the screw barrel and can be subjected to a cooling medium, for example water, from its outer circumference 12, for example via formed-on ribs. To improve the cooling effect, heat tubes which are effective from the discharge end of the screw barrel in the direction of the granules feed are provided at least in the web profiles 18 dividing off mutually neighbouring grooves 16 from one another. Consequently, an axial transport of heat takes place in the grooved bush 10, which is associated with a radial removal of heat and consequently ensures uniform cooling of the grooved bush 10 over its entire length.
