PURPOSE:To obtain an electric double layer capacitor, the conductivity of the polarizable electrode of which is elevated and mechanical strength of which is increased, by composing the polarizable electrode of a material in which a binding agent is used as a mother body and a carbon group powder adheres around the binding agent. CONSTITUTION:A substance in which carbon group powder 2 is attached around a binding agent 1 is used, and conductive carbon black having primary grain size of approximately several ten nanometers is employed as carbon group powder, Tetrafluoroethylene, etc., having primary grain size of approximately 100nm are used as the binding agent 1. The carbon group powder and the binding agent are kneaded excellently by an attrition mill, etc., and the binding agent is stretched. The carbon group powder and the binding agent are kneaded, pressed to a sheet shape, and formed to specified size, thus shaping a polarizable electrode. Accordingly, the polarizable electrode consisting of a material in which carbon group powder having high structure is affixed around the binding agent is employed, thus improving conductivity. |
