A device is specified for fanning out optical waveguides of an optical cable, in whose core at least two optical waveguides, surrounded by a common plastic sheath, are arranged. It consists of a mechanically stable holder (1) which has a main hole (8), constructed as blind hole, for receiving the cable end and on its side opposite the main hole (8) at least two secondary holes (9), separate from one another and running obliquely with respect to one another, for receiving in each case one optical waveguide, which secondary holes run together inside the holder (1) and open into the main hole (8). <IMAGE>
