<p>An impact power tool for use in delicate handworking operations includes a body (24) presenting a bore (32) and a piston (40) recieved within the bore and shiftable relative thereto. An impact transmitting member (48) is also received in the bore an is shiftable relative to the body. This impact transmitting member (48) is positioned axially in the bore (32) by a mounting element (62, 64) interposed between the impact transmitting member (48) and the body (24), the mounting element (62, 64) being resilient relative to the body (24). The piston (40) is driven along a stroke length between an impact position engaging the impact transmitting member (48) and an extended position out of contact with the member (48).</p> |
