PURPOSE:To prevent cross leak and to enhance the utilization of fuel by forming a separator with ceramic material and embedding metal wires to be in contact with a porous electrode in the separator for electrical contact. CONSTITUTION:A separator 14 electrically connects electrodes of adjacent cells, and has grooves 14a, 14b on both sides to form gas passages on a cathode side and an anode side of adjacent cells. The separator 14 is formed with ceramic material such as alumina and gas sealing between a solid electrolyte plate 11 and the separator 14 is facilitated. Electric contact between cells is conducted with metal wires embedded in the separator 14. Thereby, cross leak is prevented and the utilization of fuel is enhanced. |
