PURPOSE:To cool a solar cell forcibly and extremely efficiently, and to realize solar light energy convention with sufficiently high efficiency by thermally coupling the heating medium flow of a material, through which solar light can be transmitted, and the solar cell. CONSTITUTION:A heating medium 37 composed of a fluid-like material having high transparency to solar light LS is used, a solar cell 32 is housed in a sealed vessel 31 through which the heating medium 37 is made to flow, and the solar cell 32 and the heating medium 37 flow are thermally coupled. A window is formed previously to one part of the sealed vessel 31 so that at least a built-in solar cell 32 can be irradiated with solar rays LS. Consequently, when solar light in projected to the solar cell 32, photoelectric conversion is conducted while the solar cell 32 is cooled forcibly by the heating medium 37 flow. Accordingly, even when the device is exposed continuously by direct sunlight for a prolonged time, the deterioration of efficiency based on the temperature rise of the solar cell 32 can be inhibited. |
