<p>A clarifier constructed of a pair of spacedly positioned upright supports (96) having a plurality of inverted ''V''-shaped carrier assemblies (97) mounted to extend therebetween is disclosed. Each support (96) defines a plurality of inverted ''V''-shaped recess wells (114) in the surface thereof along its height which individually receives an end of a respective carrier assembly (97). A detachable connection strip (201) provides means of connecting adjacently positioned supports (96) to form clarifiers of increasing height. Each support (96) defines a plurality of apertures (119) therein which communicate individually with a respective carrier assembly (97). A novel flow regulator strip arrangement (142) provides means of sealedly controlling the effluent exiting each said aperture (119) from a respective carrier assembly (97).</p> |
