PURPOSE:To prevent an electric device from burning or undergoing a trouble due to an overvoltage by disconnecting the output terminal of a generator from that of a storage battery by a high voltage automatic cutoff switch, and connecting the electric device of a vehicle to the battery. CONSTITUTION:If a generator 1 generates a very high voltage at its output terminal 2 due to the trouble of a regulator 4, a field coil or a field terminal 3, a high voltage switch 5 is operated. Thus, it can prevent various types of electric devices 9 from undergoing a trouble or a storage battery 10 from burning. Since the battery 10 which generates no high voltage is simultaneously used to continue the service of a bus at that time, the bus can be driven to a suitable destination without stopping the operation on the way. The switch 5 is automatically reset if a bus driving engine is stopped to eliminate the voltage of the intermediate output terminal 16 of the generator 1. |
