PURPOSE:To unify a first electrode, etc., and an insulator, and to obtain an electric double layer capacitor having easy assembly operation by previously applying or bonding an insulating material to at least either one of the first electrode or a second electrode and forming an insulator. CONSTITUTION:In the drawing 2 represents a plate-shaped first electrode superposed to capacitor cells 1, and a first terminal 3 is cut and erected, and 4 represents a plate-shaped second electrode stacked on the first electrode, and a second terminal 5 is cut and erected. An insulating material is applied or bonded on the containing side with the first electrode 2 in the second electrode 4, and an insulator 6 is shaped. The insulator 6 in also formed to a hole 7 after the second terminal 3 is cut and erected. Accordingly, the insulator 6 is shaped to the second electrode 4, thus eliminating the need for another insulator, then facilitating assembly operation. |
