[Classes 4, 113 (ii), and 114.] In craft with screw propellers positioned adjacent the rudder, enlarged conical forms 4 are provided on the hull 1, the boss is enlarged or encased at 5 to form a continuation of the conical member 4, and the centre of the rudder 3 is provided with a further conical surface 6 whereby the three parts 4, 5, 6 form a substantially continuous progressively tapering surface. The forward edge of the rudder is curved and the after edge of the rudder post 7 similarly curved to provide for movement of the rudder. The invention is stated also to be applicable to aircraft.</p> |
