PURPOSE:To enhance the electric resistance, saturation magnetization quantity, residual magnetization and coercive force of the carrier by specifying the compsn. of the carrier. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic carrier consists of the compsn. expressed by the compsn. formula of formula I and is so composed that X1, X2 and Y of the formula satisfy formulas II, III. In formula I, M denotes >=1 kinds among Mg, Mn and Zn. This carrier is produced by pulverizing and mixing, for example, Fe2O3, CuO, ZnO, and MnO of desired ratios in a wet type ball mill or the like, drying and granulating the resulted slurry, classifying and calcining the grains, further disintegrating the calcined product, classifying the same and coating the same with a resin at need. |
