For the treatment of residues which arise in the form of dry dust in waste gas purification and contain, inter alia, 5 to 12 % by weight of CaO and have a conductivity greater than 6000  mu S/cm, a process is proposed in which the residues are fluidised with purified waste gas in a circulating fluidised bed consisting of a fluidised-bed reactor, separator and return line, the CaO content of the residues being reacted with the CO2 of the waste gases to give CaCO3. ……
