<p>The present invention relates to a multi-purpose fastening device for glass assemblies, characterised in that it comprises an independent central part, called an "insert", (1) of suitable width, adaptable to the different thicknesses of the glass sheets (8) by the addition of washers (13) at its longitudinally adjustable fastening points (6) and to the different units for assembling the fixed and movable parts by two means (5) and (14) for receiving the pivot pins of the door, or equipped with a pin (2) retractable and removable by means of an adjusting screw passing through a slot (4) located on each side of the insert (1), the head (3b) always being placed on the inside of the room. These means (5), (14) and (2) are arranged in planes of symmetry, making it possible to interact with all the upper or lower and left or right rotary members on the fixed or movable parts. The insert (1) is accommodated in the indentation (7) provided for this purpose and is retained in the latter by means of two flanges (10) and (10b), with an anti-slip seal (16) being interposed between the flanges (10) and (10b) and the glass (8). The flange (10) is fastened to the insert by means of hollow screws (12); the second (10b) is fastened to the first by means of screws (11) in the screws (12), the flange (10b) always being placed on the inside of the room so as to make the screws inaccessible and tamper- proof from outside; the device also possesses removable decorative guards fastened to the frame. The device according to the invention can serve as an axle for opening and pivoting structures. A combination of these modular and reversible parts can afford many possibilities for installation in the upper or lower part, on fixed or movable parts or on the left or right, in terms of both French and foreign standards. <IMAGE></p> |
