PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of toner on a developing roll by separating a developing device from a photosensitive body when a power source switch is turned off. CONSTITUTION:The spring member 27 is energized by rotating an eccentric cam 28 by revolving a lever 29 mechanically connected to a main switch 30, and the developing roll 21 is kept in a specified proximate condition against the photosensitive body drum 1. When the device is left standing for a long time with the mainswitch 30 turned off by operating the lever 29, the developing roll 21 is kept in a separated condition from the photosensitive drum 1 by a spring 26. Thus the toner deterioration and contamination on the developing roll from influence of heat from a photosensitive drum heater can be prevented. |
