PURPOSE:To ease the thermal stress applied to a molding glass, to prevent the generation of a crack and to improve the yield by forming a non-magnetic thin film excellent in malleability and ductility on a ferromagnetic metallic film and charging the molding glass through the non-magnetic thin film. CONSTITUTION:In a magnetic head in which a ferromagnetic metallic film 14 is formed on the abutting surface of a pair of magnetic core half bodies 11 and 12 due to an oxide ferromagnetic body, a magnetic gap 15 is formed between the ferromagnetic metallic films 14, the ferromagnetic metallic film 14 is formed slantingly to the magnetic gap 15, and therefore, the joining border line is not operated as a pseudo gap. A non-magnetic film 51 excellent in malleability and ductility such as Au and Ta is formed between the ferromagnetic metallic film 14 and a molding glass 16. By interposing the non-magnetic film 51 between them, the non-magnetic film 51 receives the plastic deformation by the malleability and ductility at the time of shrinking the ferromagnetic metallic film 14, the stress given to the molding glass 16 can be eased and the crack generation can be prevented. |
