PURPOSE:To improve electrostatic charge stability, image density, resolution, and cleanability by producing an emulsion polmn. liquid contg. polymer particles and mixing this liquid with a liquid dispersion prepd. by dispersing a coloring agent and/or magnetic powder into a specific polyester resin, then solidifying the particles in the resultant liquid mixture. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion polmn. liquid contg. the polymer particles is produced by emulsion polymn. of the polymer monomers. The resulted emulsion polmn. liquid is mixed with the liquid dispersion which has 3 to 20 acid value and is prepd. by dispersing the coloring agent and/or magnetic powder into the polyester resin obtd. by using 5 to 60wt.% oil and/or fatty acid. The liquid dispersion prepd. by dispersing other additives into the polyester resin is mixed at need with the above-mentioned liquid and the liquid mixture is so solidified that the particles therein attain the grain sizes suitable for the toner. The toner which is excellent in the electrostatic charge stability, image density, resolution, and cleanability is obtd. in this way. |
