Interface of the MODEM kind for an RS 232-type asynchronous, directional radio-transmission link. It uses, on transmission, two half-UARTs (2,9), with, between the two of them, a logic circuit (6) for inserting dialogue bytes. The signal is serially transmitted over the radio channel at a frequency (H) at least 2 times greater than the frequency (f) of the asynchronous link. The opposite takes place on reception, by means of an extraction logic unit (20) placed between two other half-UARTs (14,22). <IMAGE>
