PURPOSE:To attain the accurate and correct adjustment and to simplify a work by recording a protruding quantity detecting pattern to a magnetic tape slidable contacting surface, coiling an adjusting tape to coat the soft coat of a prescribed thickness and pressing a head to this. CONSTITUTION:An adjusting tape 13 records a protruding quantity detecting pattern signal on the surface of a tape main body 13b and is the one to coat a soft vinyl 13c of a prescribed film thickness at the prescribed hardness. When a rotation head cylinder is fetched to a video tape recorder deck and a magnetic head protruding quantity is adjusted, a deck is connected to a picture display such as CRT, set to the reproducing mode, a magnetic head peak part 2g completely breaks the coat 13c, is brought into contact-with the main body 13b, and until then, a base plate 12 is judged and fixed. At the time of contacting completely, since the protruding quantity detecting pattern appears at the picture display, it can be discriminated that adjustment can be satisfactorily executed. By setting the head protruding quantity dimension equal to the coating thickness, the absolute protruding dimension of the head peak part can be regulated. |
