PURPOSE:To mitigate congestion in a parking lot and to improve parking efficiency by providing a means to calculate a penalty, the amount of which is larger than that of a general charge, when a vehicle outgoing time of day exceeds previously determined specified time for short-time parking. CONSTITUTION:The internal part of a parking lot 1 is formed into a partitioned state into a general parking space 1A and a short-time exclusive-use parking space 1B with a partition 2. A ticket issuing machine 9 for the short-time parking is installed in a vehicle incoming port 1ms of the space 1B, and the machine 9 issues a parking ticket exclusively used for the short-time parking on which a vehicle incoming time of day is recorded. An automatic charge adjusting machine 13 installed in a vehicle outgoing port 1e calculates either the free of charge ratio of a parking charge or a small amount of charge exclusively used for the short-time parking when the parking ticket inserted into the machine 13 is the parking ticket exclusively used for the short- time parking. Further, when the vehicle outgoing time of day exceeds the previously determined specified time for the short-time parking, the machine 13 calculates the penalty, the amount of which is lager than the general charge. Thus, a vehicle parking longer than the specified time can be prevented, and the parking efficiency can be heightened. |
