PURPOSE:To obtain a double sided optical disk which does not require any special protective film and, at the same time, is excellent in mass productivity due to its low viscosity and quick cold hardenability by using a bonding agent made of a low-viscosity quick-setting epoxy resin composed principally of a novolac type epoxy resin or polyglycol plastic epoxy resin as the bonding agent used for the disk. CONSTITUTION:This double sided optical disk 50 is formed by joining a pair of transparent base plates 51 and 51 respectively provided with metallic thin films 52 and 52 to each other by using a bonding agent 53 of a low-viscosity quick-setting epoxy resin composed principally of a novolac type epoxy resin or polyglycol plastic epoxy resin, with the agent 53 being put between the thin films 52 and 52. The agent 53 is applied to one disk plate by concentrically dropping the resin by means of a spinner, etc., and after, applying the agent 53, the other disk plate is put and stuck to the first-mentioned plate under a pressure by using a press, etc. Since the bonding agent 53 does not contain any solvent, the base plate, etc., is not damaged and, since the agent 53 is low in viscosity and has a quick cold setting property, this optical disk is suitable for mass production and becomes low in cost. |
