发明名称 IMAGE RECEIVING PAPER FOR THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTER
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the horizontal dispersion of a dye to be transferred to prevent the reduction of a resolving power even if image receiving paper is subjected to transfer using a dye sublimating at a low temperature and kept under a long-term storage by a method wherein a dyeing layer formed on the surface of the image receiving paper is shaped into a large number of polygons between which gaps are provided. CONSTITUTION:Image receiving paper 5 consists of a substrate 5a and a dyeing layer 5b applied on one surface of the substrate 5a. This dyeing layer 5b is shaped into approximately a square mesh form. The mesh is formed to have a pitch less than that of resistors of a thermal head 4. The dyeing layer 5b is provided with gaps 5c therebetween, and the width of the gap 5c is less than the half of the pitch of the mesh-form dyeing layer 5b. Since the dyeing layer of the image receiving paper is shaped into a mesh form, the horizontal dispersion of a transferred dye is limited to be within a polygonal mesh. In addition, a resolving power is not affected because the pitch of the mesh is less than that of the resistors of the thermal head and less than the resolving power in printing.
