PURPOSE:To obtain processed cereal which is effective against obesity by adding Guinea pepper and vegetable protein to processed cereal. CONSTITUTION:The objective processed cereal is obtained by adding Guinea pepper and vegetable protein to processed cereals for, e.g., noodles or bread. The Guinea pepper has an action to decompose fat and oil and is effective against obesity. But, an excessive amount of Guinea pepper is too irritable to gastrointestinal tracts. Hereupon, vegetable protein is used for protection of the tracts. When necessary, Japanese palm pulp may be employed. The vegetable protein itself is essentially important for the bodies to increase the elasticity of blood vessels, keep blood flow normal and help the actions of gastrointestinal tracts. In addition, Japanese palm pulp is a strong alkaline food, and composed of about 60% of citric acid and other organic acids, further containing iron and calcium, thus being effective for activating the stomach and intestines to relieve diarrhea and constipation, recover from fatigue and protect from aging. Further, Japanese palm has sterilization and antimicrobial actions, too. |
