PURPOSE:To prevent a thermal head and its peripheral part from being corroded by a method wherein control in which a thermal head for judging presence of thermal recording paper on the thermal head by a detecting means is made to stick fast to a platen roller is performed. CONSTITUTION:In a recording mode, a paper feed roller control part 8 drives a paper feed roller 7, and sends thermal recording paper 6 to a thermal head 1 side. When the thermal recording paper 6 comes on the thermal head 1, a head transfer control part 9 detects that, and moves the thermal head 1 to a platen roller 5 side to stick the thermal recording paper 6 fast to the thermal head 1 with the platen roller 5. When one page printing is completed, the thermal recording paper 6 is automatically cut. Then, after automatically cutting a last page of the thermal recording paper 6, the head transfer control part 9 separates the thermal head 1 from the platen roller 5. The paper feed roller control part 8 drives the paper feed roller 7, and returns the thermal recording paper 6 to the paper feed roller 7 side to make a stably state. |
